BFK page 75, under gellar fields. Basically, the big teef are the Ork equivalent of a gellar field.

Probably because there are very few daemons who want to mess with an Ork ship.

Big Teef and Uge Teef are indeed the Ork equivalent of a Gellar field. If you wish to run an Ork campaign, you might just consider replacing them with respectively the Gellar Field and the Warpsbane Hull, Uge Teef being obviously better then Big Teef. Something like:

-Big Teef: Power 1/ Space 0 (external)/ SP 0 (functions as Gellar Field)

-Uge Teef: Power 1/ Space 0 (external)/ SP+2 (functions as Warpsbane Hull)

How they exactly work is a matter of speculation. In all probability their presence influences the subconscious psychic field the Orks create when they gather en masse, creating a bubble of Orkoid reality to protect the ship from the twisting shoals of the Warp. So, it is not so much the Teef that do the job as that they function an an subconscious focus for the Orks.

Of course, no Ork worth its salt would mind a minor demon infestation or two during the long warp travel. Nothing lights up a tedious voyage like a deemun or two. They can always be relied on to give a nice little scrap.
