When someone pays to play an equipment or skill card that increase someones Str. Do you equip it to a specific person, and it says on that character and if that character dies it gets discarded? OR can you pay the cost and put it into play and then later equip it to someone then remove it and attach it to someone else the next turn? And what phase do you do this in?
Equipment/Skills question?
"Attachments
Attachments are played underneath other cards
(either yours or an opponent’s) already in play
and modify them with their rules text. Most attachments
are played on characters, but some are
played on other types of cards. Attachments are
discarded from play if the card they are attached
to leaves play for any reason (such as being
killed, discarded, or returned to your hand or
deck). Attachment cards are distinguished by a
chainmail pattern around the title."

Sorry, its not in mine. I'm looking now.
I have another question. If someone uses a military challenge on me and I have a standing character with the military symbol on him, can I decide not to defend with him and let that challenge go unopposed?
I also have a question about influence. How exactly does this work? Can you use an example I read it in the direction. When I have to pay the cost do I have to kneel a card with that symbol on it? Or can I kneel any card in play?
1. Declaring defenders is always optional.
2. If a card effect requires you to pay or kneel X influence, you kneel as many cards that provide influence as you need to add up to X. If an effect costs you 1 influence, but you have only one card providing you with +1 influence, you can kneel that card to pay for the influence cost. The "left-over" influence is lost.
Are you sure you have the proper rule book?
