hi

i played my first game tonight, everyone enjoyed it but one character had the axe. It has a 4 damage rating and is a sharp melee weapon.

my question, when turning over the combat cards, does the keeper turn over cards until he gets a melee weapon or a sharp melee weapon result?

is the resultant card, additive to the 4 damage from the axe eg if the card says in the "melee weapon" description, the investigator does 2 damage, does he add the 4 damage from the axe? or does he only do this when the card specifically states does x damage plus weapon damage (i cant remember the exact phrase on the combat card so i hope i have described it sufficiently)

1.

There are 3 melee weapon cards in the deck

melee weapon

sharp melee weapon

blunt melee weapon

if u attack with an AXE u draw until u get either a "melee weapon" or a "sharp melee weapon" card.

The sharpe melee weapon cards are stronger so it adds a little random to the dealt damage.

2.

The damage is discribed on the cards. If it says 2 damage then there are 2 damage dealt.

There are also cards that say ..... deal weapon damage or ... deal weapon damage + x

so it is a little random what u get out of your strike.
