Corrupting in battle

By Darthvegeta800, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Another little question:

A battle takes place. Both players have assigned units. A unit becomes corrupted by an action/card/ability/... what happens to the unit? Does it still partake in battle? Does it's power still count?

The unit is corrupted, its power will count during damage assignation and it will be possible to applied damage on it. (as it has already been declared as an attacker / defender)

Thanks, thought as much! :) But in theory you can still corrupt a unit and hence possibly boost a corruption reliant unit during the battle itself?

I am not sure to really undestand your question but for example Jezzail Team

You can declare theim as attacker/defender THEN during the next action window use their action. The Jezzail Team is still considered attacking or defending even after being corrupted.

IIRC, corruption prevents a unit from being declared as an attacker or a defender. That is its only effect.

If a corrupted unit has already been declared as an attacker or defender when it becomes corrupted, then it would still be an attacker or a defender for that combat. It could not be declared as such again until restored.
