My group has been playing through vanilla Descent quests, and I have all of the non-campaign expansions. Eventually though, we'd like to try the AC, and I was wondering what peoples thoughts were on if/when RtL would be reprinted. Firstly do you think it will even be reprinted at all, and second if so how long will it take? By the end of the year maybe? Into 2012? I'd like to avoid SoB as it looks like a real mess, though maybe the new FAQ will help fix some of that, RtL looks like a much better option. Anyway, I was curious if people thought RtL would get a reprint for sure, and if so when.
Any ETA on the Descent reprints (specifically RtL)?
I've been wondering the same thing myself, I'm actually considering selling my RtL copy thanks to the high price and re-buying it when it gets reprinted (we've been playing a lot of Vanilla and The Enduring Evil lately so it would be awhile before we wanted to start a campaign). Of course that is only going to work if it actually does get reprinted. My guess would be that until it gets updated from "In Development" to "At the Printer" on the Upcoming page, don't hold your breath and nothing is certain.
My impression is, that a reprint is relative unlikely. An employee of the german publisher mentioned, that RtL did not sell well and he could'nt understand the current hype about it - also from gameplay side. In addition SoB is relatively new and RtL would be some kind of economic rival.
Availability seems quite bad for me - especially in Germany, where the AoD reprint was sold out after 3 month and only SoB and WoD are available at this moment. (fortunately german ToI reprint is comming)
Together with comments in similar threads (low sale figures etc) I'm personally not all that optimistic - but thats not based on facts.
