Book: Wine of Dreams.. and what effect would it have?

By Emirikol, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I just plodded through the book Wine of Dreams (Warhammer). I'm going to include it in a future scenario. Any thoughts on what the effect of the wine would be in game terms? In the book, it shows you dreams as it is....SPOILER.........................drawn from people that have been 'converted' in the book by underground life.

I've not read the book for a while, but I once used it as a way of a PC being introduced to the Winds of Magic. This was for v2 and I admit that I don't play v3, though lurk around the forums for inspiration and just to see what is happening, so can't help you with the rules. However as a guideline, as I know you use to be a player of v2, for a PC that can't 'see'the WoM I allowed them the use of the Magical Sense Skill for a period of time and depending upon their success I might grant a portent, which for a none user of magic can be quite traumatic. A spellcaster would gain a bonus to using their Magical Sense Skill as well as a Casting or Channelling bonus, depending on what you fancy.

I also made the Wine of Dreams very addictive, giving side-effects that an alcholic might havegran_risa.gif

Hope this is of help

oh, I'm intriqued by this idea of Wine of dreams, have no knowledge of it.

but maybe this could be included in an upcoming Liber Fanatica issue? hint hint Jay (I know you would like to do it). along with rules and suggestions of how to use it. would Morr, which also is the god of dreams have something to do with it.
