Hi all

If you have been lucky enough to be part of the 1% of Dark Hersey groups who do not have a Psyker currently playing, no doubt at some point someone will adopt the Nascent Psyker Advanced Package

This can be a really exciting roleplaying event, something that the party could remember for a long time. I recently GMed the Nascent awakening of our group's scum character. I illustrated the awakening in a way that I have not come across in all my lurking and wanted to share it as well as encourage others to share their memories of epic Nascent Psykerness.

The awakening happened as follows:

The group of 3 (Guardsmen, Cleric, Scum) was at the mercy of a corrupt Arbitrator squad led by an Officer Wallik Leuch. The arbitrators were under direct order from Wallik Leuch himself to shoot my players on the spot. Before a firefight broke out, Officer Wallik Leuch himself pulled the trigger on our Nascent Psyker Scum, exploding her left shoulder. This was enough to break the seal on our Scum's power. The smell of ozone filled the air, all lights flickered, targeting asupexes spewed impossible data as reality buckled. Frost radiated outward from our scum as her mind was ripped open to infinity. In that instant, every possible future of everything and everyone in the barracks was known to our scum. The confusion was enough for the other 2 acolytes to gun down the stunned arbitrators and Officer Wallik. However, in her briefest moment of purely understanding the future, our scum had witnessed our guardsmen, her fellow acolyte, standing over the rent bodies of her lover and child, covered in their blood. Without speaking, and with tears of blood pouring from her face, our scum put 4 rounds through our guardsmen's head so that such a future would never come to pass......
