Okay, I get how the basic 40k time system works; I know how to interpret 817.M41. What's confounding me is when I see things like the "Shadow of Dagon" section (pg. 35; it was also included in the MotX Dagon Overlord preview, I believe) in MotX. The time codes there run from 0.865 to 2.344. How are those supposed to be read? Is it denoting the years (and portions of years) after the current starting date? Is it something entirely different?

I don't have that entry in front of me but I know that dates used in communications often have time stamps used to account for variance in the warp. Could it be that or something similar?
