Cool little error on the Warrior Model!

By SubElement, in Talisman

Firstly go to your Talisman Revised 4th Edition set and take out both the Warrior Character Card and Model.

If you look in the Warrior's left hand on the model, you will notice that he is holding a dagger, but in fact the person who modelled said mini has mistaken the warrior holding his belt and scabbard with a dagger.

I just thought it was a cool little mistake, and in celebration Jon from Talisman Island has created a new item just for the Warrior! Look below and start your pillaging!

Even with the chance of losing the Dagger, it seems a bit too mighty against a Sword or Axe. One might change it to:

  • +1 if your opponent has no weapon object.... or...
  • +1 if you initiate an Attack but not when you are attacked.

A Dagger applied to the right spot can be every bit as effective as a Sword or an Axe. I think it's fine as is, seeing as (a) it's a freebie and (b) it will make you think twice about using it against someone sporting an item of Armour .

I did think about making it ineffective against anyone just wearing some Armour , but thought that it should have at least a chance to do some damage.

Cool. Maybe if there is an expansion where a character can get " Swallowed Whole " by something like a giant worm, you can use it to carve your way out loosing only one life instead of maybe two....

I am thinking of my ole D&D daze when you could be eaten and can only hope to cut your way out with a small weapon as quarters are understandably close when in a digestive track. In talisman, one should not just die when swallowed but possibly loose two lives. Sound ok?

Oh... Jon I have wrote up something if you still are interested about the 3D Board I made... I put some photo's up photobucket.com so if you want any I can include a link to the folder when I email the small document.... Sorry I've not been very active on the boards lately. Only just yesterday got my new copy!!! Looks great!

Yep, I'll feature it whenever you fancy sending it over!

Kudos to SubElement for picking up this little 'Easter Egg' and to Jon for the card design. aplauso.gif

Just bumping to post a card that I made after more discussion with Sub about the Ghoul miniature and how he is actually positioned back to front of how he is on his character card. I had forgotten to post it.

It might be fun to use on someone gran_risa.gif

Re: "Mirror mirror"

That card would be awesome to get for the Wizard in the early stages of a game!
