Compilation box coming?

By verbakint75, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Is there any possibility that FFG will produce a compilation box in the near future? Dominion just released it's "big box" with Dominion, Alchemy, and prosperity and it is a sure thing that I will now be owning my very own copy of dominion.

Any chance Arkham will release a "big box"? I would love to see, Arkham, Dunwich, and Kingsport. I would jump all over that, and it's not about saving money (well . . . not entirely).

I am a father of 4 and like to be able to defend my board game purchases to my wife, kids, and friends with more than, "yes, I have a problem." If I were to jump into Arkham and then start buying the expansions there is a good chance those loved ones around me would suspect that I had succombed to a madness, all too real.

However, if I were to say, "but I had to get it! It's a one time package that puts three (or 4, please oh please make it 4. . . or FIVE!?!) of the best expansions in one easy to store box!" my purchase would have a little more credibility.

Also, I wouldn't have to find a place to put 3 (or six?) boxes -- just one. That may seem like a minor quibble to make, but I don't have a wall of games. I don't really want a wall of games. I also am pretty sure that it would clash with my wife's interior decorating sensibilities.

So, for all those reasons and more, please join my plee for a definitive, with updated rules and no need to throw out duplicate components, compilation of Arkham Horror and at least two of the best expansions!

please please please, don't make me beg.

The main issue that I see with your suggestion is that each customer would prefer a slightly different combination.

I glanced at the reviews for Dominion Big Box and there are comments that one of the 3 sets bundled is regarded as being less desireable compared to other expansions.

It's possible that this bundle was to get rid of some slower selling sets of cards... but even if it isn't you won't please everyone no matter how you combine them

Your best chance is to do what I did with Battles for Westeros:

Go on ebay and find a shop that sells a bundle of the core game and the expansions, for a discount, and purchase it that way. You will get 1 (or maybe 2 in the case of Arkham Horror) big boxes in the mail with all the Arkham Horror boxes/expansions inside, and you can say that doing it this way was cheaper and lets everyone experience the full array of the Arkham Horror line :)

As for the "everything in a box" idea, I don't think it's possible for THIS game. It is a LOT of stuff to fit in a single box. Really. At least the standard boxes can be stored in different combinations, a single huge box would be way more difficult to store in the house (unless you have a garage or basement).

I think that if they ever did a compilation of Arkham they would have to pair it with a Dr Who game so they could get a box that's bigger on the inside.

More likely to get the base set with the card-only expansions than with the ones that have a board.

wonder if they'll ever be able to do print on demand
