That looks right to me. But I think you're over-complicating it!
When do i pick clues exactly ?
Yeah maybe... but i'm glad i can do it the right way.
I actually don't think we've ever had the situation of monsters and clues being in the same space come up...generally clues are on locations, and most monsters can't move into locations unless they appear there, and if they appeared there they generally did so via gate, and gates eat clues. :-P So while I know it's possible (especially with Kingsport's Hypnos able to spawn clues in streets), it hasn't happened for us yet that I recall.
But yeah...you end your movement phase, and then you pick up clues.
Some mythos card put clues in streets.
Some monsters (Tindalos) can go in place.
And i don't speak about special rules/scenarios ;o)
almost related;
can i trade items after fighting monsters? or between fighting two different monsters? (not during the actual combats.)

As long as two investigators occupy the same street or location and it's still the movement phase I don't see why not.

Trading requires no movement points. So, just like with the clue tokens, if you are still on the same space as an investigator when you are done with combat, you may still trade items.
It's not related to the name of the topic, but it is absolutely related to the movement phase business.
So i would say you can trade before combat step. You could also between combat step and pick clue step. But once picking clue, trading is over.
