There are many, many brothels that give sexual and sensual gratification from the lowest dives to the most exclusive brothels on Port Nibuling. One of the most exclusive of these brothels and the one spoken in both the most hushed tones and joyous roars in the one known only as "Her Lady's Quiet Sergalio". Deep in the Middle Tier of the station, Her Lady's Quiet Sergalio can only be found by knowing the secret paths through several of the station's hidden ways. The only entry is through a very well appointed but well guarded portal that has a coat and weapons check-and several very prominent detector loops that are backed up by very well attired-and very well-trained-men that will keep anybody from coming into the Sergalio with any weapon larger than a dagger. Even the most subtle of posions are detected, and while they are not reported , the patrons are "encouraged" to place all their weapons in very secure lockers (-20 to any attempts to penetrate the lockers without a key).
Once entered, the entire Sergalio is done in a calm, understated manner. Women and men of the club circulate, only indicated by a single leather strap of white wrapped around their body at some point (the location of the strap and accessories on it is a code language of what the club members will do with a customer). The Sergalio is not some common brothel where the club workers are picked like meat off a hook-conversation, small gifts, and a coy fliratious game is the goal of the Sergalio, leading the customers to the various theme rooms to be...entertained. Boorish patrons are quietly ejected (and those that either sponsored them or brought them in are informed and penalties assessed).
The current club owner, Lady Mallova, is a woman in her late '50s in appearance, with at least two possible juvat treatments. Like all the previous owners, she previously worked in the club as one of the entertainers, working her way up to take over the Sergalio about twelve years ago. She always tries to meet new members, and while she is very flirtatious, only people that knew her prior to her taking over as to the head of the Sergalio and Black card holders can even think of asking her for a night with them. Rumors of liasons, ranging from the amazing to the ridiculous, have been placed at her feet. She smiles, and sometimes will even tell stories of her past.
The Sergalio is not only just a brothel, but a place for rivals and commercial interests to meet and engage in trade. It is said that the mysterious Inquisitor M has met with some of his allies here, Eldar pirates working out the trade of captured slaves from their raids to Rogue Traders of low moral compass, and even it is whispered the Sector Governor has come here to quietly negotiate with the other powers in the Reaches. This security is backed up by the very design of the Sergalio-with the exception of the entrance, the Sergalio is surrounded by the unforgiving void and vac-configured combat servitors armed with heavy weapons. All life support is provided by machinery within the Sergalio, there is only one entrance in and out, and communications is restricted to the front desk. Carefully designed wards and blessings of the Omnimessiah ensuire that psyker and vox transmissions cannot penetrate in or out of the Sergalio.
Payment for the Sergalio is handled on a membership system-members pay a set fee on the basis of their ranking. The club employees do not ask for money for any services beyond food and alcohol purchases-they are paid by the Sergalio and can keep any "gits" given to them by patrons. Entry into the Sergalio is only by a key card system, in which certain cards provide certain privelages. The lowest of theses is the White card, only given to new members. With this, a White Card member can bring in one guest, and stay over-night in the Sergalio. The next tier-earned after five years of membership, is the Bronze Card. This card allows for the patron to bring two guests, and stay for up to a week at the Sergalio. Next is the Silver Card-this takes about ten years and requires the patron to do a service for the Sergalio. Never anything illegal, it could be anything from finding an obscure piece of erotic art to a unique bottle of amasec. Silver Card members can invite up to five guests and stay for up to three weeks in the Sergalio and can nominate a guest to be considered for membership. Gold Card members, the next ranking, takes another ten years and not only can spend up to a month in the Sergalio and invite up to ten guests, they are the only ones that can allow a patron to be given the White Card.
The final ranking is the so-called "Black Card"-a single solid sheet of coded adamantine that gives unlimited privelages within the Sergalio. These cards are never given-they are always earned in one way or another. It is known that Sector Governor Mullings has one, and at least two members of the ruling council of the El-Taen Craftword, as well. It is rumored that one is always given to the Watch-Captain when the newest commander of the Watch Station NIbuling takes over. Some rumors state that delivering this card without getting caught or killed by the Deathwatch can gain the delivery man a Black Card of his own...
Rumors always try to place at least one member of the Ruinous Powers in the Sergalio-rumors that, as far as can be told, are not true. The Sergalio will not allow itself to be controlled by any outsider-especially not the Ruinous Powers.
