HOW DID YOU GET SO MANY DUDES ON THAT BOAT!?

This deck's debut was at the Springfield Regionals from June 10th - 12th. It was the Brain Child of Brett Zeiler that I raised. I ended up piloting the boat to Top 8 going 5 and 1 only losing to Lanny Tool Box because of a grave mistake that I preformed (I played the engine in setup, he saw it and Valar'd first plot ><). Losing to Targ Dragons in the finals (prolly due to some play mistakes once again made by me :P (I am still new to AGoT tournaments this being the first Regional Joust I participated in). This is the version I took to Regionals, I have since made some cuts for 1 Selmy (neutral that gets the discard) and 3 Rusted Swords (to combat against targ burn and and make Val 4 strength tricon). Also I have cut the Let my Porridge Fly and the At the Wall, for 1 Power of Arms and 1 Winds of Winter. Ideas have been thrown out for Scurvy Cutthroats in the deck and many others, Dobbler has been really helpful with all of his suggestions.

The decks main purpose is to Step 1, get Val and Dolorous Edd into play and puke out dudes and boats. Step 3 is to Naval Escort them to the victory. It worked exceedingly well. If i was not such a new player to the highly competitive format I might have won.

What are your thoughts or suggestions!? How do we handle Venomous Blade?

It may have gotten lost in the garbledy gunk that was my original post, but I do have a question about the deck. How could this deck deal with venomous blade? Even 1 will wreck me, I make my opponent lose a lot of challenges so by the dom phase they have it in shadows and are stabbing val again.

So far it has been discussed that maybe Pinch of powder will help this deck. Still would like a more solid way to get rid of venomous blades, they just wreck the deck.

If the Val is killed (which is easy to do esp. in melee) the deck looses its strategy. Too vulnerable.

Looks like Favorable Ground and Fleeing to the Wall would be pretty bad for you...?

Correct. However, I still top 8'd with this deck at a regional. I think it just needs some val protection and then it'll be more viable than it already is. Rusted swords are already in the deck now. And this isn't a melee deck it is meant for joust.

The deck has proven several times that the locations support the goal, but aren't needed to win. They fleeing to the wall and I still keep three boats, a scouting vessel, a Naval Escort, and any other boat. Also with the way the engine runs, if they get rid of boats there is a chance I get more next turn.
