Dude they look really good. I also like the basing. It could be the camera but they may be just a little shiny. Otherwise they look good and I would enjoy playing against them!!! Of course destroying them too!!!

Yes sir, i like'em, i do.

I like the darker semi gloss look to the them, camra or not. I havnt seen anyone do that. and i like it.

and the personal art work on the back is hawt ! Nicly done.

They're not as shiny as they look but I did use some metallic paint to drybrush the exposed areas to represent worn paint.

The German walkers should be interesting as there's more space for artwork :)

Here come the Germans...

They actually look a lot better than the photos would have you believe. Not great - I know I'm not a great painter, but better than they look :)

Having some issues though, the minis - unlike the walkers - REALLY don't seem to want to take the paint.

No primer/one coat and acrylic 'bobbles' on the surface and comes away easily.

Two coats and it's too light, showing through the paint.

Not sure which problem I like least :-/

Wish they came decently primered at least.

What brand of paint are you using?

Citadel Foundation paints are perfect if you are having a hard time with the paint to stick on.

Didn't have any problem with my paint, the primer was perfect. I'm using a mixture of basic Citadel and Coat d' arms.

Haven´t had any problems too. I´m using the citadel and the vallejo game colors ranges and there´s no problem at all.

Some old citadel paints, some tube-based acrylics and some potted acrylics, forget the brand. All acrylic though.

What prep do you do before painting? Maybe I'm missing something.

None whatsoever, straight onto the primer, after all, that's what it's there for. Paint, washes, drybrushing, all direct onto the primer - no problems.

I'm wondering if some aren't primed.

Curious, I took a knife to a spare figure and scratched the surface, but if it is primed its the same colour beneath that surface.

Going to do some more painting tomorrow, I'll try washing them first in case it's just finger grease (I have pretty greasy fingers alas).

The primed models are 100% matt paint, if yours arn't they probably have a slight sheen to them.

It's definitely finger-grease, for anyone keeping score. Fresh from the box - fine - washed - fine - played with, trouble sticking.

I've finished my Axis now.

Good work, do the Americans too!

Starting tomorrow :) Though my week off is nearly over so things will slow down a bit I reckon :)

Finished 'em and all uploaded now, but to a FB album.
