SE England Show

By Major Mishap, in Dust Tactics

The participation games we played at Broadside today went really well with a lot of excitement about the game as nobody has seen it before and none of the 32 traders stocked it! Makes you wonder that Kris was absaloutly right about FFG's lack of advertising the game. Hopefully some will now go and purchase it, everybody loved the game and the models. We played 2 a side games, each with 16pts which lasted 1 to 1 1/2 hours each

I'll be running another game in 2 weeks time at Rampage in Essex, see you there? www.ilfordwargamesgroup.co.uk/

Thought I'd bump this as the event is this Sunday, anybody going?

Would if I could get there.

Sadly my wife and myself only seem to manage very local shows now. I`ve found that Dust, in any of its forms, not well shown here in England , which is quite unusual for a game of "Weird War 2" The miniatures alone are excellen and useable for many games besides Dust. I personally hope that the New England senarios and British figures will increase interest in both Dust Tactics and Dust Warfare. Eileen and myself are talking about trying Dust as a demo game next year at our local show instead of our Starship Troopers.

Totally agree, everyone I mention or show Dust to here in the UK seem to say 'what the? Who, where, why and what?' Seems a real shame as I have a very good vibe about this game, especially with Warfare on the horizon. Although I am a little busy with hols and commission work over the next month or so I will defo keep my eyes out for more local events where I might be able to bring along the little chaps and spread the gospel. Never been as excited over a system or fluff for quite a while, to the extent that I am seriously considering selling off my substantial 40k collections to concentrate on this one thing

ps. Airbourne, lets hope it doesn't go the way of the incredible SST, IMHO one of THE best tabletops I and my buddies have ever and still play, I have faith in Andy Chambers and if Warfare is even a fraction of the fun SST was then we are in for a treat. Btw, I managed to collect all the SST minis before they went OOP, even some which never made it to general release I believe, feel free to check them out over on the site www.tanksandtrolls.co.uk/futeristicminiatures.htm

Thought I'd mention that I'm taking Dust Tactics to Skirmish in Sidcup this Sunday 25th September. We got our DT photo in Miniature Wargames this month :) Pitty it was a rubbish photo before we got started :(

Loads of us play up here in Scotland though!
