Trying to find a Yula single figure pack

By MadRabbi666, in Tannhauser

At one time, I thought I was going to get a Yula single figure pack. However once the problem I was having was all sorted out, I was told it was sold out. I was wondering if they were going to re- release her for those who never got the chance to get her in the first place.

By the way, I love the idea of adding the Shogunate to the mix. Now you've got four groups to choose from: The Union, The Matriarchy, The Reich and now The Shogunate.

What's next for another faction to be added to this game?

I got my copy of Yula from the german amazon as well.

Was quite cheap even with shipping and the fact that the rulebook is in german doesnt really matter as everything in there has been revised and reprinted in the updated rulebook.

The miniature, character sheet and tokens are all language free anyway :D

Thanks. I figured as much, plus I have the revised rules when I bought the core set. Though I am looking forward to the Shogunate figures as well.

There have been several auctions on eBay over the past couple weeks for Yula or Yula + something else. I won an auction recently that included Yula, Gorgei, and Ramirez. Fortunately, I didn't have any of those figures, so the final price wasn't that bad considering I got 3 figures for it.

There are two auctions up last time I checked - one for a single Yula figure, and one for Yula with the core game, Novgorod, Yula, Gorgei, and Ramirez.

They have Novogard dirt cheap too. Is there anything in this expansion that is not reprinted in the revised rulebook?

Everything in the FFG edition of the Novgorod expansion is covered in the Revised Rule book, I don't know if there are any differences between the English FFG release and the German one.

The german and USA version of Novgorod are the same. There should be no difference. All you need is the revised rulebook, as all rules in Novgorod expansion, german or USA version, are the old ones.

hey

Just ordered Yula from the German Amazon site after reading this post.

Now I cant read Geman but the amazon buying process is the same for all international sites so if you know your way around an English site then you'll be able to figure out the German one too. It cost 17 Euro's thats approx £15.

There was also a Yula on the French Amazon site too,

my Yula came today, only the rule book is in german. I have the revised rules and equipment cards so no worries there, however her scenario wasn't reproduced in the revised rule book so i can't use that. any one posted the english version anywhere?

i'm so happy i got Yula, i was resigned to never getting her until i read this post. cheers for the info here.

ah

found her scenario on page 77 of the revised rule book

I got lucky and got it reasonably priced on ebay, although I still had to bid against others.

I'm wondering how much at this point it would cost given its illusive status. But with all the new expansions out, thus showing the game is still popular, you'd think that another batch would be made.

Yeah. It should be obvious for FFG that Yula is a wanted woman. Why no reprint here, I wonder... ?

I can understand that somebody wants to have Yula because she's hard to find and he wants to have a complete set of characters, but i just have to ask: Do you actually PLAY Yula? I bought her too and even played her in a few games, but I think she's quite weak. I wouldn't choose her anymore instead of any of the Reich characters in the base set and certainly not instead of Hoss Harbinger. We even have mercenaries to include in a Reich team. I just don't see a point in including Yula because there are better options. Am I missing something?

I generally play Union, but my wife plays Reich and she loves Yula, and she wins 75% of the games we play. True Yula's stats are a little low, but she has several good natural 10 abilities, and her Close Combat Bar is very deadly.

But she's a finess character, my brute force style of play makes her worthless to me.

She doesn't fit my "sneaky attacks from out of path"-style of play either. If I want to have a close combat fighter, I usually take the Stosstruppen. When I actually played Yula, I always equipped her stamina pack. I have to admit I thought Yula's close combat bar wasn't worth it because no opponent would enter a circle adjacend to her, but I will give her and maybe even her medal another try. After all, it's no fun playing the same teams over and over again.

Yula destroys weapons and equipment and renders dangerous soldiers compolete useless. Last time I played matriarchy she destroyed my magnifier, which ruined everything). Additionally, her attack rating is quite high while doing additional overwatch attacks or additional standart attacks (depending on the pack you choose). I think she is some great character and worth every cent you invest. Love her!

The only issue is if you get the jump on her, a strong character (not just Asteros) can steamroll her. So I'd consider her fairly balanced in that regard to.

I wonder what a new boxed English version would cost?
