(Malivan Reaches) Some New Ship Tech...

Working out some ideas, and some of the technology that you might find in the Malivan Reaches setting I'm working on...

SALLEAN SHIP TECHNOLOGY

The Sallean will, on rare occasions, sell technology to the Imperium and various Rogue Traders. Almost always, to get some of this technology requires doing a service of some sort to the Sallean, This is rarely anything that might be considered "treasonous"-but, it is an act of consorting with Xenos that might get a Rogue Trader in trouble with many, many authorities...

The Saleean, under no circumstances, will sell or provide their plasma weapon, reactionless drive, or quantum shield technology to anyone. All original sales will provide the trader and the ship with sufficient fabricators and production templates to repair any non-destroyed component.

SALEEAN EXTENDED LIFE SUSTAINER

This system of the life sustainers not only provides air that has an uncomfortable sense of being clean than anything provided by the Omnimessiah, the system provides at certain points in the ship a thick grey paste somewhat akin to thick oatmeal. This grey paste is almost flavorless, but when mixed in with many kinds of stews, soups, and similar foodstuffs, provides a great deal of nutritional value to Humans and most Xenos races. This ration allows for travels deep into the void to be extended by expanding the food supply that all Imperial ships carries.

(2 Power, 2 Spaces, 3 SP for Transports, Raiders, and Frigates; 3 Power, 3 Spaces, 5 SP for Light and Heavy Cruisers)

  • Air Clean And Sweet- Increase morale permanantly by 3, and reduce all losses to crew population due to non-combat sources by 1. This can be used as a ship's life sustainer.
  • Enhanced Shipboard Rations -Increases the duration a ship may remain at void without Crew Population or Morale loss by 50%.

SALEEAN REINFORCED LIFE SUSTAINER

The Salleen technology not only incorporates cleaning measures that make the air extremely comfortable to most, but also a series of reinforced, hardened "nodes" that can-at a much lessened capacity-keep the air and water coming to a crew in the event of combat damage or disaster. This system even can provide, for a short period of time, life support aboard a severely damaged or destroyed vessel.

(2 Power, 3 Spaces, 3 SP for Transports and Raiders; 3 Power, 4 Spaces, 5 SP for Frigates; 4 Power, 5 Spaces, 7 SP for Light and Heavy Cruisers)

  • Air Clean And Sweet -Increase morale permanantly by 3, and reduce all losses to crew population due to non-combat sources by 1. This can be used as a ship's life sustainer.
  • Hardened And Reinforced Life Support Systems- The ship's life support system, if destroyed, is unaffected with the exception of the losing the Morale and crew population bonuses until repaired. In the event that the ship is reduced to a Hulk, the ship still has life support for 24 hours.

SALEEAN EFFICIENT FUSION DRIVE

Probably one of the single largest items the Saleean sell, this "simple" (to them) drive system is much more powerful and efficient engine than most Rogue Traders will ever see in their lives. This system is designed to provide the same level of thrust and power as it's Imperial rivals, except in a much smaller size. The use of this drive is very noticeable, due to it's eye-catching blue-white drive flare-ships with this drive will always have problems with those that are puritans in the Imperial Creed and the Ecclesiarchy.

(Class 1 Efficient Drive-Fitted to Transports, 35 power generated, 6 spaces, +3 SP)

(Class 2 Efficient Drive-Fitted to Raiders, Frigates, 45 power generated, 8 spaces, +5 SP)

(Class 3 Efficient Drives-Fitted to Light Cruisers, 60 power generated, 10 spaces, +8 SP)

(Class 4 Efficient Drive-Fitted to Heavy Cruisers, 75 power generated, 12 spaces, +11 SP)

  • Disgust of the God Emperor- Any Profit Factor is increased by 5 and Acquisition subtracted by 5 when dealing with anyone whom is a sincere or puritian follower of the Imperial Creed and/or the Ecclesiarchy.

SALEEAN COMBAT FUSION DRIVE

Another of the drives sold to the Imperium, this drive system was built for warships and those that want a ship that is both fast and agile. These massive drive systems consist not only of the massive generators used, but thrust vectoring plates and field generators to allow the ship to make turns and heading changes that would astonish any other ship handler around. Like it's cousin the efficient drive, it's drive flare is very noticeable and may cause issues for those dealing with followers of the Imperial Creed.

(Class 1 Combat Drive-Fitted to Transports, 45 power generated, 8 spaces, +5 SP, +3 to Speed, +15 to Manouverability)

(Class 2 Combat Drive-Fitted to Raiders, Frigates, 55 power generated, 10 spaces, +8 SP, +4 to Speed, +20 to Manouverability)

(Class 3 Combat Drives-Fitted to Light Cruisers, 75 power generated, 12 spaces, +11 SP, +3 to Speed, +15 to Manouverability)

(Class 4 Combat Drive-Fitted to Heavy Cruisers, 90 power generated, 14 spaces, +15 SP, +3 to Speed, +10 to Manouverability)
