Deep Ones Rising - Miskatonic Innsmouth Preview Up!

Love the New Innsmouth Look cards. I also think the 'duel expansion symbols are very interesting - I'd noticed a couple before, but that will encourage me to use more than just one expansion at a time!

Looks like the Look deck is something altogether different than my predictions: the Innsmouth Look card is diluted down, but the new added cards force you to draw varying amounts or suffer penalties. Interesting.

And boy, am I excited to see the mixed-expansion location cards! Finding Sarah Danforth in Innsmouth is about the most exciting thing I've seen.

But, now we know for a fact that Dam won't buy this expansion, because the Innsmouth rules say, "investigators will find no allies in Innsmouth." And we know how he feels about allies being in the proper places!

So the Cult of the Black Goat is infiltrating Y'ha-nthlei, eh? What a twist!

Looks like some neat stuff going on here, especially the mixed expansions for location cards. This is going to wreak havoc on my stats cheat sheet (might be time to move away from excel).

The more AH provides the Ghatanothoa Effect--the moment your heart clenches before you draw anything blindly--the more I like it. If they overloaded the Look deck with devours, it would dilute that effect.

Amen. Allies have lives too. But more importantly, so do CULTISTS. Perhaps even the Sheldon Gang has outside interests? The more Miskatonic can pull "benched" cards into play, the more excited I am.

HEH. Well, now, not quite. Dam couldn't care less about Encounters; they just waste time. It's still gonna come down to the effectiveness of the new Mythos cards...no, wait. We're approaching the critical mass percentage of "properties worth the price". Miskatonic is gonna have to have over 300 Mythos cards to tip the balance. So, never mind. gran_risa.gif

It would be funnier you could run into the Cult of the Black Goat at the First National Grocery. "What about entrails? Ya got any entrails?"

I like the new look deck, I'm not too excited about the location cards... I almost never get encounters in Innsmouth anyway (I try to stay away from locations there, they're just too dangerous). Although they do look cool.

No, but seriously, the real reason Dam won't buy this expansion is because it has Kingsport cards in it ;'D

Seeing those double expansion encounter cards makes me wonder if they'll include double expansion mythos cards and what they would look like.

Also, could Brian Burnham be one of the new Blights?

I'm pretty sure that Brian will be one of the new blights. I'd love to see Deputy Dingby as a blight who inadvertently helps the investigators.

Oh, Brian Burnham, I thought you were talking about ColtsFan partido_risa.gif .
