I did one for LCG days so I thought I’d give you guys another one. Since I’m a bit ADD when it comes to decks I decided to create a new deck rather than re-run the Asshai Holy deck from MN. Now Ito be fair I’ve been thinking of a way to run Brotherhood characters without the agenda and make it work. Infamy is the easiest way and once Daven Lannister was released I thought there were enough characters to make it work. The ability to effectively shut down Power challenges is great and I know it helped me win a couple games by messing with folk’s strategy, I’m looking at you Nick.
Since the deck lists are forth coming I won’t type it all here but just give you some highlights with some thoughts behind them (or lack of thoughts) . Obviously the core Brotherhood characters are there, Beric, Huntsman, Lady Stoneheart, Tom Sevenstrings, Anguy. Also Infamy through Vendor of Venoms (which people often miss the Vengeful ability since I’m not running Martell), Ser Jamie (core) and Daven. Along with Devious Intentions and Head of the Dwarf. To keep power off my house, or more accurately get it off once it was there. That’s where the Whitebook agenda came in. Now I did steal the idea from Dobbler without his knowledge so THANKS! But it actually never came into effect. I was always able to take care of it without it, but it was nice to have as a back up. Also with only one Kingsguard (Arys) the bonus wasn’t likely though I did try to get it once with Bael the Bard plot and made Beric a Kingsguard. I also had Orphaned recruit and Besieged Shipyard OOH as other backups. I ran GTM x2 and Pyromancer’s cache x2 (Maybe three?) and to thin the deck Window’s Watch OOH (FANTASTIC). Most uniques had a dupe because of that. I did sprinkle in some trait manip with two Lion’s Gates, Horn of Dragons, Old Nan and some Ravens. (I did make someone House Glover at one point FTW!)
4 out of my 5 swiss opponents made the cut so my 3-2 had a decent SOS , hence my 7 seed.
Round 1 John Pauly-Bara Shadows
This one started my day on a high note, a good solid win. I had added the Lanni/Bara traitor for defense against Eastwatch by the Sea but alas I never saw it. I did however start to get wrecked by Black Cells against John and the Traitor worked just as well. After that I was able to get Anguy, Jaime and Beric out and duped so Valar was worthless. I believe Beric had the flaming sword and devious (a common occurrence). Ultimately I won 15-5.
Record: 1-0
Round 2 Ryan(one of the three better halfs present at the event)-Lannister-Clansman
Having attempted to run Clansman at Days of Ice and Fire I knew many of the tricks of this deck. Again the addition of Traitor was useful as I stalled out her draw engine by dumping GTM in round 2. I Valared in round 2 (maybe 3) which left only Beric. I ultimately had Beric, Huntsman and Daven rocking and I never had less cards than her and plenty of gold with draw. As Damon says Gold + Draw = Win. 15-4
Record: 2-0
Round 3 Nick (Nick-ler) Greyjoy Maester
As was reported previously this was a hell of a match up, and would have been the match of the day in most events. (More on why it wasn’t later). This was a slugfest and the final score doesn’t reflect how close it was. A slight miscalculation in score helped me get the 4 power with the power challenge in the last round for the win. He did manage to make it winter twice and I Ravened it back into the deck twice. By the end Beric had 14 power on him and the Orphaned Recruit 1. Beric was a bit strong. It was a 7 plot slog, where I had few cards on the table because the choke was working well. I started each round -3 gold and -3 int. Awesome. I did have a decent draw so I was able to top deck into goodness. And to defend Let My Porridge Fly, I needed SOME type of generic attachment removal. Milk does bad things to Beric. 15-9
Record 3-0
Round 4 Erik (finitesquarewell) Some crap he threw together in 18 minutes
Lannister trait manipulation (Maester Agenda)with kneel kneel and more kneel. That kinda sucked. I had Tom Sevenstrings in my hand and should have played him earlier. Probably would not have mattered but it could have slowed Eric up a bit. I never had enough characters and the 47 two claim plot intrigue wins he had against me usually pulled exactly the wrong thing for me out. I didn’t have much of a chance in this one, but I would have liked another go because it could have gone better. That being said never any shame losing to such a quality player and individual. 2-15
Record: 3-1
Round 5 Tim Lyons Lannister no agenda
Lannister again! I was doomed for no variety in house opponents. Rumor has it that Tim knows how to play LCGs. And when you make 3 mistakes in short order early on, game over thanks for playing. He had some trait manipulation and a raven out. I too had a raven out. I chose my raven as claim. (Mistake 1) I flipped the Bard plot and Horn of Dragons shortly after. I took his Maester Luwin, intending to use him as claim on the Mil challenge instead of stopping the Raven. (Mistake 2) Finally when he did make The Mad Huntsman a raven I (and he) thought you couldn’t save with a dupe the shuffle back into, you can (Mistake 3). At that point my board was pretty much clear and it was all over but the celebrating. 2-15
Record: 3-2
But the crazy SOS got me the 7th seed so I had some pizza (thanks Eric) and got ready for my first Top 8 match. It was a somethin’.
Quarterfinals Jeremiah Shives McShivers- Greyjoy Wildlings (both agendas)
Oh no! This is close to the same deck that wrecked my world at LCG days, that one was Stark based, this one Greyjoy with more saves and refurbished hulk to have a location from every house but Martell. When I said earlier that my match with Nick-ler should have been the match of the day for me, this is the one that stopped it from being so. 13 plots and 1 hour and 45 minutes later I lost. As at LCG days PotS Theon ate me for a while. I finally shuffled him back in with a raven. I was able to prolong the game at one point with Head of the Dwarf. He had tons and tons of characters, I had pretty much no one. I believe I had 4 power on Beric with sword and DI for about 45 minutes. Every time I attacked, he would be blanked by frozen Moat (thankfully he didn’t have any targeted removal) This was a slog of a game. He would get minimal power each turn due to me not having any on my house. I wouldn’t be able to get anything because he had too much out there. Many mistakes were made by both of us near the end, our brains were fried. I had Old Nan and Horn of Dragons at this point and I was able to successfully defend a 19 Str assault with his Wildling horde and Beric. Unfortunately for me I failed to use my besieged shipyard to pull a power off his house which might have kept me in it for one more turn. Oh did I fail to mention at this point we were both decked? If I would have had that one more turn things would have gotten interesting because I would have been able to Valar and I would have had Beric with 7 power on him and Lady Stoneheart recursion. He still had a ton in his had (the aforementioned Theon being one) but all the big armies would have been dead. I *think* I might have pulled it off, but that’s not for sure and at this point I just needed happy hour at Old Chicago (25 oz for a pint’s price was calling) He had a helluva deck and played great and deserved the win. 7-19
Final Record 3-3
I had a great time, got to know a great many Thronesers and am better for it. I’ll say it again, I really enjoy a game where I know that when I sit down my opponent on the other said will most likely not be a ****** (really all but Shenanigans). So thanks to ya’ll!

Wait, actually I did lose in the Top 4 at Gencon at least partially because I didn't know you could target the power on the Red Viper w/ Ellaria...so I guess it IS good to know the rules!
