Hello there. I have had this book sitting on my shelf for a year now and I have yet to actually find a real life group to play with. Forum games are too slow and artificial for me, I prefer the organic play of real time.

To that end I am looking for anyone group that plays online, via skype or vent or something like that, that would be willing to take on another player. I've read the rules but never played... though i am very interested in playing myself.

hey - i'd be willing to play online - i might even GM it - i'm currently playing a DH game that's gonna finish soon so would be willing to start another - one thing that's important is timezone as we could have ppl from other timezones posting to join - i'm on london UK time

Ive been looking for an online (not forum) game for a while now. Also UK timezone and free tuesday, wednesday and sunday evenings plus some other nights occasionally. I own pretty much every single DH book bar the campaign books if that helps

yeh - i own all the books i know of digitally - all txt searchable (thanks to adobe) and most of the rule book have links in (thanks to ffg?) - so i can share these if we need em - need a few more ppl - we could do a campaign with 2 PC's or have more than 1 PC each but more ppl is more desirable and less confusing and difficult than either of those options - i'm currently free every night except tuesday and occasionally fridays (i have an RPG that night which is usually cancelled due to the unreliability of 1 person - there are only 2 ppl +GM atm)

I might be able and willing to play online. I have almost all DH books in pdf (althrough not all are searchable). Only problem is that I won't have much time for till 17.06, after that I should be free most non-weekend (and friday) evenings.

Hey I would love to join a game and I will try to work around schedules. It is hard to find Dark Heresy Games so it would be awesome to play.

I've sent friend request to all of you via your profiles - i don't know whether this will enable us to talk in private but it's worth a try - if this doesn't work has anyone got any ideas about how to give each other our email addresses/skype/vent names without anyone who looks at this topic seeing them?

I don't mind people knowing my skype, I can always remove them later if it doesnt work out.

Other than private massages I don't think forum enables to talk in private, there doesn't seem to be an option to create topic visible only to certain group of people (meaby admins have something like that, but we don't). So it's either skype or we find some site where we can create our own chat room.

Hello Nyoka, it isn't too late as we are yet to start - had too much going on with work and personal commitments for a few of us. Do you and your friend use Skype? We have set up a channel on there to discuss a game.

My friend does, i dont but i can instal it, though you will have to show me the ropes as i never used it. Howecer, dont expect me to be able to talk much, as i not only lack a mic but well my english isnt the best, i will be happy enough to undertand you, let alone speaking it myself. While i might have no problems understanding or expressing myself in text im afraid its a diferent story when it comes to speaking.

That's quite alright. Most of any game would be in text, the voice chat would just be for discussing as a group what to do (out of character). We can always create a second chat channel for out of character chat.

Anyway, i'm at work at the moment but tomorrow i will try my best to contact you and get you set up on skype.

Well, if you have room for one more, I'd be interested in joining with a Cleric. I have a great deal of Play by post experience and some more recent experience via Vent. The only real drawback to me is that I'm in GMT -5, or EST, and so I'll be off by more then a little while. Let me know if you're at all interested, and I'll get in touch.

What timezone are you in? As Kasatka said, we can start another group with more europe-asia friendly timezones if we manage to get enough people.

I'm actually in EST (GMT -5) over in Canada. I don't sleep much, but I also just loaded up my "Bat cave" with xbox live and 7 new games so my time is restricted. Feel free to send me a PM or organize a Vent game or something.

I dont understand why couldnt you join being GTM +1, im in that time zone myself and im only one hour ahead fo the rest. I hope i clear some confusion that might have led you to that conclusion. Though i might be ignoring something you know like work schedule etc that keeps you away from the game.

When I wasabout to join the play it was at GTM-5 (or -6, I don't remember clearly) so it was 6-7 hours difference. But it was quite a while ago so things might have changed a bit. My fault really for not keeping in touch.

So how are the sessions now? Is there still place because it looks a little crowded already and new group might be needed to be created?

Since the Gm and anothre were a bit busy, we delayed the thing so aint started yet, we are still working on characters. I think you are good to join though you should ask the GM first (Kasatka), im merely a player. And hope to see you on the team in the near future : )

I haven't tried Dark Heresy before, but kind of got bitten by the RPG bug when me and some friends tried the Black Crusade intro scenario. Live in Norway so timezone is GMT+1, and most likely I have a weird ass accent .

My vacation just started so I could probably pick up the book with plenty of time to read up enough of the rules to get a basic idea. My experience with the 40k lore comes mostly from the tabletop game and various wiki's.

Think I'd be happy with pretty much any of the classes (i read a bit in a friend's rulebook) so do give a pm or whatever if there's room!

Well, just as i said before people got bit busied though start is planned for 24th. I will contact the GM and see if there is space ^^. Again just as time zone doesnt seem to be a problem (Im GTM +1 myself) I dont have much experience myself and none with the game. However, uppong reading the core rulebook with enough care, you should get a more or less solid grip of the rules, fluff and lore needed to play it. Just as much as with ShadowRay i hope we find ourselfs playing together : )

Actually, I think that if you go for a certain type of character that's ignorant of the imperium at large knowing little of the fluff yourself can actually help you RP that character alot better since you physically can't meta game. And if the person is curious you can actually try to learn about the lore ingame, which could be quite fun!
