I started to look into going to this today (have to plan ahead when your gone drive 15 hours) and i noticed the cap on a lot of the games is very small. Only 40 seats for the mellee, only 60 for the joust...Do the tournaments sell out a lot of the time and people end up not being able to play? I would hate to plan the trip and then not get a seat for all my freinds who wont know if they can go till very close to the date...

And table space might have to be "scrounged" but there's always spare room _some where_ in the CCG Hall.

More to the point, those are probably best seen as estimates for turnout. In my experience, no one is ever turned away on the day of the event for lack of seats.

One other question..Do all the GoT players stay at the same Hotel? I noticed some of the hotels having open gaming rooms etc...i could see lots of side game going on at night over beer.

DarkN - we stay all over the place. I like to stay at the same place FFG does every year (Omni) if possible (and where I am staying this year). But it is usually sold out if you don't go through the GenCon website early. One year I had to stay 5 miles away @ the University, and decided never to do that again! Although...walking 5 miles sobers you up a little after the bar-time...
