Newbie Assault questions:

By Banesfinger, in Tide of Iron

#1: When assaulting: if the target/defender is already fatigued, do they suffer some kind of penalty?

#2: If assaulting through a multi-hex building, do BOTH the attacker AND defender get to use the building's cover (+3)?

#3: There are a lot of rules for the Attacker of the assault to combine fire (e.g. the infamous "assault wave"). Does the defender get any kind of bonus from adjacent defenders? (apart from normal Op fire)

Thanks for your help.

1. No.

2. No, only the defender can get cover bonus.

3. No, the only way to support them would be (as you said) Op-Fire or an immediate counterattack by fresh units.

As you might have guessed, it's usually a very bad idea to leave one or more fatigued and unsupported squads within range of several fresh enemy squads.
