New player, some questions about chapter packs

By Cypress2, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Hey guys

Sorry if this is kind of a broad question, but I just got into the game, and I'm looking to expand my collection, and I'm looking to build a Baratheon deck. Problem is, there's so many cards to consider that it's just a bit daunting to decide what chapter packs are really worth my money. Also, I'm assuming I should get the Kings of the Storm expansion as well. From what I've played in the core set, I think I'd like to focus on syngergy between Knight characters, and maybe Renown as a way of gathering my own power. So, basically the short version of what I'm asking is what chapter packs/expansions should I pick up in order to make an effective Baratheon deck?

Any advice from more experienced players concerning tactics would also be appreciated!

Kings of the Storm is a must, especially if you want to focus on Knight characters. One of the latest chapter packs, Gates of the Citadel, has The Laughing Storm, arguably the best Bara knight out there.

I'm not a specialist on Baratheon rush builds, so others will have more valuable suggestions, but head over to cardgamedb.com. It has a database of all the released cards in the LCG, and also a bunch of helpful articles:

Thanks for the resource, that will DEFINITELY help!

Now to wait for my LGS to get Kings of the Storm in...

If you run Bara, it will probably be one of the following:

Asshai
Knights
Rush

Those are the main viable decks at the moment. (Im sure I missed one. I can just feel it). Knights is pretty easy to run with just a core set and the baratheon expansion.

And Shadow!!!!

Never forget shadow ^^ Or army with See who is stronger, really efficient in melee!!
