Last night I was able to get my hands on the Dominus Exxet book, so feel free to ask me questions just as long as it doesn't involve posting whole stat-blocks.

I've been reading through the impossible weapons and I'm confused by the weapon Libra. Supposedly it has no base weapon, but it mentions that the abilities of Libra can benefit from quality bonuses. What I'm thinking is that Libra may use any weapon as the "base" weapon, just using the quality bonus from that weapon and placing it's benefits on the Libra stats. So for example a +10 longsword becomes a +10 Libra. Am I wrong in making that assumption?

I'd interpret it like you. BUT as far as I understand it, you should use the Libra base profile (except for quality bonus) INDEPENDENTLY of the base shape of used weapon.

Just to let you know, I've checked the MK and descriptions of all techniques described in the compendium and can tell there are tons of errors. I've fixed everythint (it was a very long work), but will post the "corrected" versions of everything on an apposite topic as soon as I have time.

Meanwhile, in an errata (on Internet) it was told that ALL impossible weapons require Use of Ki and Inhumanity (although I also allow using them with Use of Nemesis and Inhumanity).

So I've noticed that a number of techniques have "Reduction of ki" as an advantage. But I can't seem to find it under the various optional advantages. Where exactly is it listed?

Reduction of Ki is described as an option in the general part about techniques. "Altering cost in Ki and MK of a technique" is right after "How to create a technique step by step". Substantially you may reduce the cost of a technique up to 5Ki (whitout reducing the cost of a characteristic to less than half the required cost, of course). Also, it's required that a technique is based on at least 3 stats to buy Ki Reductions (although I don't apply it). Each ki reduction adds 10MK to the technique. On the other hand you may reduce the CM cost of a technique by -5 for each +2ki of cost you add to it.

By the way, you should know that I recalculated the cost in CM of techniques both from the Core Rulebook, the First Web Supplement and Dominus Exxet.

Most techniques have the wrong cost and some of them are even built in an illegal manner. Here I'm giving an errata (it costed me a lot of hours) of the schools in order of MK.

OBSCURITAS - 185MK - Dominus Exxet

Obitus is a Level3 technique and not Level2 (Zen Effect). Hence its cost must be at least 65. I added an extra -2Ki and reduced to 5ki the cost in WIL and POW, to make it legal at 65MK.

BASIS - 215MK - Web Supplement

Implosion has -1Ki and costs 60 instead of 50.

IGNIS - 215MK - Core Rulebook

Actually techniques DON'T have the Elemental Binding disadvantage...Horecka costs 45 instead of 40. Vatra costs 45 instead of 40. Eld costs 85 instead of 60,

CELERITAS - 225MK - Core Rulebook

No change there.

THE DRAGON - 225MK - Core Rulebook

Dragon's Breath costs 75 and not 80

FROSTKOLIER - 230MK - Dominus Exxet

Due to the Elemental Binding, Kolinger has an actual cost of 30 and not 45 which is too low for a Level 2 technique. I added 1 Ki reduction to POW in order to have it cost 40. Gunnhildur's cost is 85 and not 75.

LE ROSE DU SANG - 235MK - Dominus Exxet

No change there.

SIRIUS - 240MK - Web Supplement

Itami actually has -3Ki cost and an MK cost of 40 instead of 30. Hakai costs 35 and not 30. Tomeru costs 35 and not 40. Yowai has PhR160 instead of 180 (because PhR160 is the maximum for Level2 Techniques), an actual -2Ki reduction, and costs 60MK instead of 40.

HYPNOS REQUIEM - 265MK - Dominus Exxet

Death's Shadow PhR is confirmed to be 160.

MEIZO'S WAY - 265MK - Dominus Exxet

Kouryu for that cost should have -2Ki reduction, thus reducing DEX and POW cost to 13.

MAGUS ABSTERGO - 275MK - Dominus Exxet

Aeternum costs 50MK and not 65. Expello is a Level3 technique (Interruption with PhR:Damage+120) and costs 95 instead of 100MK.

ORMUS - 280MK - Dominus Exxet

Libera Me has cots 35MK instead of 45. Sanctus has cost 25MK instead of 30. Requiem has cost 90MK instead of 110.

KAGAMI - 290MK - Dominus Exxet

Genmai has cost 65MK instead of 70. Moboroshi has cost 50MK instead of 70.

ARASHIDO, THE PATH OF BLIZZARDS - 300MK - Dominus Exxet

Raykoudo has cost 85 instead of 95.

HYOSETSU JIGOKU - 300MK - Dominus Exxet

No change there.

THE CHAINS - 305MK - Web Supplement

Space Gate costs 40MK and not 35. Star Wind costs 35MK and not 45. Armageddon costs 65 and not 70. Supernova has PhR200 and not 220 (which is not even contemplated by Dominus Exxet!).

THANATOS - 330MK - Dominus Exxet

Dark Phoenix costs 110MK and not 90.

DI QUIU - 345MK - Dominus Exxet

Yan costs 50MK and not 40. Guan Shi costs 65MK and not 60. Ren Zhi Shu costs 80MK and not 90.

SATTYAGRAHA - 345MK - Dominus Exxet

Manipura's PhR is confirmed to 160. Nirvana costs 100MK and not 95.

A'ARAB ZARAQ - 350MK - Dominus Exxet

Blood Fiest should cost 55 and not 25. Now that makes it a Level2 technique...and hence having the techninque mantained costs 10MK more. So Blood Fiest is a Level2 Technique with a cost of 65MK and not 25. Prymary Corruption costs 80MK and not 75.

CATASTROPHE'S MASTER - 350MK - Dominus Exxet

Sism costs 25MK and not 45. Tsunami costs 45MK and not 65. Maelstorm costs 65MK instead of 75. Volcanic Eruption costs 80MK instead of 110.

GUNHELL - 350MK - Dominus Exxet

Bullet Time costs 20MK and not 30. Perfect Shot costs 80MK and not 85. Sniper Shot costs 45MK and not 65. Storm Waltz costs 100MK and not 90.

WUSHU - 370MK - Dominus Exxet

Mantis Illusion costs 70MK and not 50. The Last Dragon costs 75MK and not 85.

ANIMA, THE FALLEN ANGELS' SONG - 490MK - Dominus Exxet

No change there.

SOLOMON'S LEGACY - 590MK - Dominus Exxet

Defensive Protocol DT-2 costs 75MK and not 65. Final Offensive Protocol AT-03 costs 85 and not 80.

Because one of my players will eventually learn Celeritas, I have calculated this techniques after the rules from DE and found a "mistake":

The Technique "Excisum Magister" must have the Ki-costs of 8 Agi, 8 Dex, 6 Pow OR 8 Agi, 9 Dex and 5 Pow.
The reason: The effect "+75 Attack Abilitiy" costs one ki-point more in the DE as in the core book (9 primary, 12 secondary, instead of 8 primary, 11 secondary).

in my 'combat compendium' i too went through and did revisions of all the core book ki disciplines, i could repost them independantly if anyone wants.

and as far as libra i ruled it that the way to gain quality bonuses to libra was to have an enhanced quality instrument, and i also ruled that every 100 in music (singing) skill gave a person +5 quality for libra when used with their own voice.

Brewmaster, you're confusing Libra with Virgo. Virgo is the "Musical Instruments" Magnus, while Libra is the "Shapeshifting Weapon" Magnus.

As for using Virgo with voice, I don't know...I'd rather do a technique school based on voice techniques, the reason being that ALL Zodiach Magnus are Weapons and require the character to be actually using a proper wargear. Allowing a character to use one of them weapon-less would be a big advantage, since you "cannot be disarmed" of your voice (you can lose it, but it's still more difficult than being disarmed).
