Can't get enough of Dust Tactics

By traderghost, in Dust Tactics

Well, I can't possibly be bringing my whole set of Dust Tactics to the office or to Starbucks. So this is what my buddy and I have come up with to satisfy our itch for a quick game over lunch or a cup of coffee gran_risa.gif (I own DT and all the expansions that ever came out, so I'm not a pirate happy.gif )

The entire battlefield simulating 3x3 tiles is only an A4 size paper. A squad or walker is made up of a single small piece of cardboard. When a soldier in a squad gets killed, I simply mark a cross on that particular soldier on the unit card.

that is awesome! DT On the Go!

i have thought of doing something similar , but the minis player in me insists on having 3dminis , so i would have to spend the time to make a minis scale set .

good job .

Very nice idea.

I am hoping for a Flash game where I can play online against friends while at work.

Neat idea, why not take it a step further and make printed colour components. Also, what I've done to save table space is to reduce all my unit cards down to playing card size.

Oh, I forgot to add that for the dice, I used a dice app for the iPhone so I don't need any table space for rolling dice and don't attract unnecessary attention from the sound of 12 dice dropping on the tabletop!

This 'mobile' DT is so portable and convenient that I actually played more games on it than my actual set. But the downside is that I can't afford to have any wind. I wouldn't want my Ludwig to start developing jet packs happy.gif

Someone needs to make a program on the ipad. Hopefully, FFG will approve it. That is a great idea.
