Thing in the ground

Hi everybody!

Whats happen when i exhaust the titg and a draw doppleganger? Doppleganger come out insane, and i choose a character on the table, which will doppleganger copy? What happen, when there isn't any creature on the deck? Or doppleganger just goes to discard pile?

And what happen when i draw with the titg a unique character, who's copy is on the desk? It goes to the discard?

If you put Doppleganger into play you do not get to do anything with its text because it reads "When you play Doppelganger from your hand..." This means if you do not both, pay the cost of X and play it from your hand it copies nothing. So Doppelganger put into play from your deck due to Things in the Ground means you get an insane character, which when restored will be a Yog character with 0-skill, 0-icons, no sub-type, and relevant card text.

Yes, the Unique character will in fact go to the discard pile if you already have one in play. Insane characters keep their title and unique status.
