Now I have played a Song of Ice and Fire chronicles so I know a thing or two about a coat of arms. Putting that out ahead of time. What I would like to ask is: Has anyone hammered out an actual hearldry for their Dynasty? My group loves backgroun and detail, so when I noticed this in the book, I thought it would be a fun touch! Suggestions on what WOULD BE on a space fairing privateers colors? Ideas? Examples would be great!

I came up with one for my dynasty. It's an Arctic Sabrecat, (basically a sabretooth tiger) rampant. In white aganst a royal blue background. Basically take a heraldic lion, bulk it out, make the tail short and stubby and give it huge fangs. Looks good on miniatures, too. I have actually made the heraldry, but I'm terrible at image hosting, so it might be tricky to get it on here!

Maybe y'all can give me ideas! Victris hails from House Vendigroth, an ancient house known its contacts in the Merchant Houses, Infamous for its trade in running arms and men to military "entities" that require them. Victris however, would like to stray away from the Trade and pursue the...."rogue" lifestyle, if you will. His families main colors are red, black, and gold. Suggestions?

Need Help with a heraldry my self. My RT is from the house of Tannhauser( no copy right infringement to FFG) got he idea when listening to the Tannhauser overture. Anyway I can't seem to find any images that fit the 40k theme. Not really sure on house colors either, ship still has it's battle fleet Calixious paint job.
If you can name some good image sources that would be helpful.
I remembered an article on guild heraldry in a book I read as a kid. Not a notion where the book is but google did pull up these pages .
The only Rogue Trader heraldtry I've seen is in that ancient GW tome 'Book of the astronomicon", which included all sorts of ideas on Rogue Trader heraldry which lloks less like a Chivalric coat of arms and more like Space Marine emblems.

If you look carefully you can see the symbol of a famous Arcadius rogue trader dynasty. Question is: did author Andy Hoare drw inspiration from this?

The pages are good, didn't really see anything outstanding for a Rogue trader. Been trying to find some of the German Heraldry bloody hard to find the stuff. Don't have photo shop either so i can't really custom make on either. Core rule book should have had some sample ones. Finding a proper emblem shouldn't be this difficult.

My player's Dynasty was one of the first through the Maw after it was first opened up; indeed, their entire Warrant is based on this fact. The heraldry became one of a hammer-and-shield, with a multi-headed snake being bisected by four bolts of lightning, representing the first fleet of the dynasty and their travel through the tortuous warp-route.
Well, I used to have some random findings on the net: the heraldry, and how to emblazon them, and some free software to create some free and simple (fictional) ones.
I usually draw my heraldry myself.

Well, about the meaning of emblazon, maybe we can simply use the 'real-world' meanings as well? I believe each Rogue Trader has his own... 'unique characteristics' (depends on your group)
