Block Difficulty Questions

By Hayamachop, in UFS Rules Q & A

Two cards:
Deceptive Quickness: R Commit: Before your opponent determines block difficulty, discard the top card of your deck. Your attack's speed becomes X.Xquals the control of the discarded card.

Kazama Ninja Arts: R Commit: Before you determine the difficulty needed to block your opponent's attack, reduce teh difficulty by the printed speed of the attack.

For Deceptive Quickness, If i had a 2 speed attack and my opponent blocks with a +2 block modifier. I respond with Deceptive Quickness and discard a 5 control check card. The total difficulty is now 7 instead of 4?

For Kazama Ninja Arts, If I already have 2 cards in my card pool. Opponent throws a 4 speed attack and I block with a +2 block modifier, total difficulty as is would be 4+2+2=8, but if I respond with Kazama I would only need to check a 4 to complete the block?

Thank you in advance for your answers :)

1) For Deceptive Quickness, If i had a 2 speed attack and my opponent blocks with a +2 block modifier. I respond with Deceptive Quickness and discard a 5 control check card. The total difficulty is now 7 instead of 4?

ok to this one it's simple:

Attack is 2 Speed Opponent reveals a +2 from their hand.
Before block step happens your opponent decides to react with Decpetive Q, revealing a 5.
the speed is now re-set to 5. Opponent's +2 Block is still revealed.
Now Block difficulty is determined 5+2 + x(any other cards in card pool) = 7 + x(any other cards in card pool)
Your opponent must check against a 7 + any other cards in card pool.

2) For Kazama Ninja Arts, If I already have 2 cards in my card pool. Opponent throws a 4 speed attack and I block with a +2 block modifier, total difficulty as is would be 4+2+2=8, but if I respond with Kazama I would only need to check a 4 to complete the block?

Attack is 4 speed. You reveal a +2 Block
block is currently calculated at 6, 2 cards are in your card pool.
total pre-block step is 8. you respond with kazama before attempting to block. The attack is now 0 speed.
0 + 2(block mod) + 2(cards in your card pool) = 4 difficulty block.

hope this helps you understand it.
