It's really fascinating how the metas are so different. I would love to hear more in-depth reports from France, both for joust and their turn-2-win melees.

Somewhat of a tangent, but how do French players choose their House to play? In another thread someone mentioned that most French players choose a House and stick with it long term. But how do they amke that choice initially. The books/ Playstyle? availability of the cards? I'm just curious.

If think you've hit all the possibilities there. I would say the books and card availability are the main reasons. While most players have a favoured House they usually have played other houses at least a bit (through deck-lending or other means). But for big tounrneys they usually stick to their House, maybe its because they only bought the cards they need for that house....

People prefer to play with mecanics they like. Maybe because there is a phrase which sa"if you play with plesure, you will win more game".

In fact, personnely it was just that something pass through game mecanics of my house and me^^
