Hardy and first aid

Double checking something.

Character with hardy gets hit from an autofire gun five times. He takes five wounds from each putting him on a 5 crit. After the fight the tech priest with the super high medicae skill and and int bonus of 5 attempts five first aid rolls (five wounds). As the character has hardy he counts as lightly wounded and is quickly returned to full health.

This avoids a lot of down time so I am happy to see my players doing it but just seems a tad powerful.

PS - Apologies for the over use of five

After a first aid attempt, even a failure, any wounds that weren't healed count as treated. Meaning they can't be healed by a subsequent first aid attempt.

I think this situation is right, Tech Priest with high medicae should be able to heal well. Imagine regular guardsmen with medicae skill +10 and his INT lets say 40 , so he has just 50% chance of healing, so 2-3 from 5 wounds will be healed, with INT bonus 4 it's 8-12 wounds healed. It's not so powerfull as Tech Priest who should be better at healing. But if You think that it is still to powerfull you can treat hits from autoburst as a 1 wound, so each atack which is casuing damage causes 1 wound, not important if it is from single shot or autoburst. We are palying this way and looks fine. If you get 5 hits from autoburst one round and then 1 hit from sword in the next round we count both hits as a 2 wounds and allow 2 medicae test. But more logical of course is to treat each hit as a separate hit.
