I have count them 8 marines in my campaign. 2 Dark Angels(Yea Devastator, Assault(Lefty) ) 2 Space Puppies(Boo... Rune Priest, tactical ) 1 Smurf(Boring Tactical) 1 Storm Warden(Npc Medic!!!!) 1 Black Templar(Stiff Collar Assault), 1 (Consicrator(I think.. just started. Assault) first what is the best to make this campaign enjoyable for me and them. I pretty much beef up the number of hordes and such. I also feel i need to pull the medic out so i can focus on the game. what do you all think

Pull out the apothecary and be cautious about beefing up numbers of missions with many fights; they can't regeneate wound points much.

And don't underestimate the Smurf if he has Tactical Expertise. One advice: if he uses Lead By Example, he must assign the re-roll to someone on his action each turn, not when needed because it gets too powerful.

ok will pull out apothecary, numbers go back to normal. the smurf has tactical expertise and he does use Lead by example. but i see we have been using it wrong.

Instead of running the apothicary you might consider running a librarian or inquisitor npc just so you have some access to lores and what not it seems your group is light on that aspect.

actually they are pretty heavy on the lores and such. just not healing. I know I know weird isn't it.

What i did when my group was lacking in healing was give them a servo skull for between fight heals. Allows the missions to keep going even if a player gets badly hurt and doesnt require as much effort as running an NPC within the group.

Or, offer medicae as an elite advance to someone in the group.

Keep things moving, make sure people think about what they're going to do on their turn *before* their turn so they're ready to roll (literally hopefully).

As for medicae, my solution for an apothecary-less killteam was to give all the space marines medicae as a basic skill for the purposes of first aid only. So they at least had a chance of healing some wounds with treatment (more if they requisitoned a narthecium).
