I just picked up Cthulhu, thanks to Kennon. I'm playing silver twilight right now. I was wondering what kind of power combos and easily over looked cards for the faction you guys suggest.
Tips for a New Player
Read this thread and weep, dude.
He just needs to combo the core of good ST cards with another faction that will shore up the weak points. Slightly oversimplified to make a point: you can combo Cthulhu or Agency with virtually any other faction to make the deck better becasue of their superior removal tech.
Since up to 60% of all people who posts in any card game forum have no clue what they are talking about* you should find your own way. ANd seriously, run another faction with ST until their card pool is big enough to support a mono deck.
*present company included.
My cardpool isn't big enough to combo them as of right now. I literally just own their expansion. (It's not an easy game to acquire cards for locally.) And there's really only one other player. I was asking other people about the faction, just to see what they thought worked well within it.
Well, I tried making a mono H.O.S.T. deck when it first came out and this is what I came up with:
www.boardgamegeek.com/article/6084638#6084638
It does have a few neutral cards in there that could easily be replaced with something else. I have to agree though that it is difficult to make a HOST deck with not much else in it as even a few neutrals seem to be required.
It is not very good. But it will give you a chance to explore what the faction is capable of and how combo-centric the faction can be.
sounds like a great game , i'm tempted .

Oh, looks like you forgot to post this same reply in the Silver Line Games section, those are some troll-points you're missing.
