Hey all,
I am in need of some serious help. I really enjoy the game and I got it for potential co-op but mainly for the solo aspect. I am having a real hard time with this game. I feel that it is impossible to play solo. I play the rules correctly (or so I think) and after a few rounds, the game looks hopeless. My threat is 37 and I have yet to knock down the first quest. I am playing the game wrong or is it that I am making terrible choices? Or perhaps this is normal and my idea of progress in game seems to be set higher? I have two areas where I think my problem lies and maybe you can help. Keep in mind I play either the spirit or the lore decks.
1) The player decks - I have the feeling that they are underpowered. I am lucky enough to get one quest token on the main quest or to the location I am traveling in. So when I see I still have 7 more tokens to go and that now the spiders have more buddies to on the way, I feel like I got no where to go but to hold off the attack. If I am single player, am I to run two decks like I was two people and maybe that would help?
2) Questing - The odds in the area seem extremely stacked. As stated before I am lucky enough to get one token on the table per round. Should I maybe not care so much for my heroes health for a few rounds and throw them the quests till I get some results?
So hopefully I will hear back from you guys. I know that this is a great game but I just can't get over this hump of it seeming impossible to play solo. So any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated. If you need more clarification on something feel free to ask.
