Put into Play vs. Enter Play vs. Come out of Shadows

By Ratatoskr, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I apologize for bothering you with this, because I'm 100% sure this has been answered lots of times, but you know the search function of these boards...

1) When a card comes out of shadows, is it considered to be "put into play"? If there was an effect that says "When a card is put into play, do X", could it be triggered when a card comes out of Shadows?

2) Is "put into play" the same as "enters play"?

3) When a card comes out of shadows, is it considered to "enter play"? If there was an effect that says "When a card enters play, do X", could it be triggered when a card comes out of Shadows?

Thanks!

"Bringing a card out of Shadows
At the beginning of the any phase, a card that is in Shadows can come out of Shadows and into play at the discretion of the player controlling the card."

So yeah, a card that is brought out of Shadows is "put into play."

No offense here, but is there a specific reason you were thinking that mechanics moving cards from "out of play" to "in play" would not count as "put into play" effects? Or why a card that moved from out-of-play to in-play would not have "entered play"?
