They're reprinting it because they are out of copies to sell. Just like every other game they make. But I'm pretty sure an expansion for this game was virtually guaranteed.

But it feels reassuring that you also believe in an expansion. Lets just hope they won't wait too long before releasing it!

I would bet money on having an expansion by the end of next year, but that misses out on the initial buzz for the game.

please dont say that. after all they announced tw o new expansions for arkham horror a couple of months ago, and they are about to be released within a month or so. so if we keep our hopes up, perhaps we'll se something just before christmas! that would be really sweet. one and a half tears wait is just far too long...

I agree, it is far too long.

But consider their past trends for announcing then releasing a game or expansion. It takes 6 months at minimum to see them in stock.

Realistically, I have little faith in seeing an expansion prior to the end of 2011.

Which is a shame since if the do Arkham Nights again this year, it will be lacking much new lovecraft based content other than the Mansions of Madness base game, the latest Arkham Horror expansion and the Ghouls of Miskatonic novel.

Kind of a let down for an event where a lot of people travel quite a distance to attend..

Yeah, perhaps you are right. But the news are just too grim to comprehend. I have found that you can play each scenario about 2-3 times before you basically know what to do and how to do it. So every time i play the game it feels terrible to "waste" another scenario. I guess well just have to put our hopes on more fan made scenarios for the time being.

Regarding Arkham Nights there is nothing that says that they won't put a new mansions scenario in the goodie bag. Since i live in Sweden that won't do me much good, there is no way i can afford the trip to USA anyway. But hopefully someone will publish it online.

Don't forget that FFG announced a "print and play" section on their site for minor expanded content. This has great potential for adding new scenarios.
