So who is actually running this or has it fallen on it's face?

This might be resurrecting a dead thread...but. I've just gotten into warhammer 3rd and would love to give GM'ing this a try. I'm unfortunately not lucky enough to have live players for any of my RPG needs so I do all my gaming on line. While I don't have any experience GM'ing this game, I have been playing and GM'ing other games for two decades. *NOTE: I'll be using Skype (or mumble if Skype is acting up) and Maptools. It's pretty much required that you own the game to reference the rules and cards as we play.

hay guys just wanted to tell you wr im at. i far as playing im ready to go exept maptools. for some reason i cant get my head aroud ploting every move on a map. I do a lot of my gming on the fly with a ruff draft of what i want to do

so at this piont i need majer help with the maptoos aspect of my campain and allso im having a hard time learing map tools im not a very pc savy guy....

if enyone can help me with maptools we can get started soon as my campain is ready to go.

What the hell do you need maptools for that badly? Fine you have a shiny map on the screen but... with tokens, cards and stuff, really if people have a solid enough grasp of the game... shouldn't you be able to go without. Just my two cents. Has anyone run a game without the electronic malarky? Maybe?

i would love to do it without maptools but the grp wants to use it so thats what im trying to do.

not complety dead im still working on it.. its just taking a lot longer than expected it seems as tho im a bit slow on the whole maptools thing.

im really trying to get it down before i run. as i said before im not use to using any kind of map so this kind of runing a game is very new to me
