British in France

Can we recognise in these new wargames that the British (and Canadian/Aussie/NZ etc) were key participants in the European Theatre and not resticted to the desert. Can we have uptodate minatures to represent this - Cromwell Tanks/Churchills/Paratroopers etc.

A-Men to that! aplauso.gif

I doubt that they would update the soldiers (it would be cool), but getting some new British AFVs would be great. cool.gif

I would also like this.

The British and indeed all Commonwealth allies are my favorite nation(s) in this conflict, not because of superior technology or tactics, but because of sheer tenacity, ingenuity (even if sometimes misguided), determination and ability to learn (sometimes). They just have a character all of their own.

They also have several colorful personalities, Monty being the most prominent.

You mean maybe some Australian infantry figures like these? (they are in 1/72 scale though, which I think is larger than the TOI figures).

Or maybe some other Russian figures, as I am not really quite happy, with the Russian figures in FOTB. They do not really look like Russian soldiers IMO, so I may have to go get some 1/72 scale Russians too. And not to mention, some extra AT guns, more PZ IIIs, and some armored cars maybe.

I actually have not yet purchased FOTB, and I am not sure I will, except to get the boards, as the plastic pieces seem to be not the same quality as the DOTF pieces, especially the British infantry and MG squads.

This is one photo I have seen of the FOTB squad figures:

Comparatively, I think the British figures are MUCH better quality and look like Brits, and the Brit MG figure is excellent., while these figures in the photo look almost like some kind of mutated beings. Anyone have any more photos of their FOTB units?

Judging by the photos I was afraid of the same thing, but when i actually got my copy they actually turned out to be fine for the most part. Indeed the barrel of the MG could have been done in slightly more detail, but the rest of the figures are just fine, if you ask me.

The different scales of the vehicles over the various expansions is a different matter, but not a new observation...
