Question on "Reveal" (Korhil/Tiranoc Chariot)

By Khail, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Quick question RE: Korhil and the Tiranoc Chariot (relevant text below):

Action: When this unit attacks, reveal the top card of your deck. If the revealed card is a HE unit with a printed cost of 2 or lower, put it into your battlefield, attacking.

What happens after you reveal a card that isn't a cheap HE unit? Does the revealed card get put back on top of the deck? Discarded? Shuffled back in?

Sorry for the greyed out text - here it is again:

Another reveal ability:

Could be you're supposed to shuffle your deck if you don't get a legal unit with Korhil/TC, then again, both of those cards don't say anything so could be it goes back on top. Most reveal/searching top 5 cards have you shuffle your deck, so in that sense shuffling with Korhil/TC would make sense to me.

I'd assume if it doesn't say shuffle, then you don't shuffle. I agree it wouldn't be the first time we had to infer a rule based on other cards, but I wouldn't compare revealing your top card to searching the top 5. Since it just says "reveal the top card" it doesn't actually even tell you to remove it from your library. I'd just flip the top card over and leave it that way till its discarded or drawn.

If you just reveal and leave the card. kinda makes the ability useless doesn't it?

No, you still put it into play if its cheap. You just leave it on top if its not a 2 cost or less unit.

It just makes duplicating the effect relatively useless unless you've got a way to stack your deck (HE can do it relatively easily). So if you've got 2 Chariots + Korhil in play, you flip one card - if it's not a unit none of them do anything.

Khail, I agree with you. But that's the way we play it. If you reveal successfully a low cost unit with Korhil you can try again with Tiranoc Chariot, if not, so be it.

Reveal does not include reshuffle or anything. Just stay with the card text. Your opponent knows your next draw. That's all.
