Question about scenery and terrain....

By drapulv, in Dust Tactics

Well, I couldn´t resist, I´ve ordered DT and a couple of extra squads. It looks really interesting and one other thing that appeals to me is to make terrain and scenery for the game. Is it best to make terrain pieces that fits within a square, i.e. about 10x10cm?

Yup, you do have to make them to fit the boards, 93mm. Here's some tree's I made:

Thanks! Those trees look really nice, did you drybrush them with white paint or did you use some kind of flock?

Nope, just sprayed them with white pimer :)

I´ve made some trees myself now. And some craters too. What is a battlefield without craters, right? I´ll upload some images later, but for now I have a question;

Those trees are soft cover for squads, but impassible for vehicles, right?

My tree tiles are a direct replacement for the impassible terrain from the game, so nothing can move into them and block all LOS. I've deliberately made them extremely dense with trees so no models can't fit in them. I have made a few more open ones with a couple of sand bags which act the same way as an ammo crate.

the terrain looks great
