I see Tol Rauko as pretty much the example of the Establishment that directs the real world we live in; Science, Military. Try to discuss anything even remotely esoteric with anyone of 'importance', and being mocked and deprived of your career are the least of your worries. If you are credible, there is worse to consider. You will just disappear, and become an accessory to Secret Military and/or Secret Science.
