Righteous Fury and Multiple 10s

By Lucrosium Malice, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

Because of a never ending debate with some of our gaming group I decided to shoot the question on to FFG since I could find no "definitive" answer after searching through the forums. I thought it would be good to post the info for all to see in case they too had a question. Thankfully we had always been playing it right.

Rule Question:
Righteous Fury and multiple 10s.

Does multiple damage dice just increase the likelyhood of Righteous Fury and adding 1d10 damage to the total damage rolled or does each 10 on the damage die allow for Righteous Fury? [example: if a Meltagun rolls two 10s on its damage. Is this 20+1d10 or (10+1d10)+(10+1d10)]

How does that relate to Tearing weapons and discarding the lowest damage if two 10s are rolled?
If any 10's are rolled, a character triggers righteous fury. Whether it is one 10 or seven, the player only rolls one additional D10 damage.
I hope this helps!

as i understan it multiple damage dice just makes righteous fury more likely to happen, you only ever roll one d10 for RF.

tearing only makes you more likely to get RF as well.

and dont forget that you have to make a successful WS/BS when you get RF to be allowed the extra d10. but you only have to do the test once. after that, as long as you get a 10 you can keep rolling. this can lead to huge amounts of damage.

Considering the statistical improbability of rolling more than two 10s in a row, I'm surprised how often it happens gui%C3%B1o.gif

indeed. it seems to happen a lot more often than probability would dictate.
