Given the incredible size of the Titan, it's not completely beyond the realm of possibility that it sunk in the muck considerably. The 40k universe is a varied place with many worlds exhibiting features that are way beyond normal, so if an explanation is needed, it can be come up with. My group had a complete blast with the module. The four minor changes I made were
1. Left out the Razored Wing cultists
2. Left out Hadria
3. Did not get into Gustavus, Nikea, etc being Zanatov's crew. Explained that he founded the false dynasty as a cover, and the specters were descendants who had died somewhat more recently.
4. Left out the gear room in the body of the Titan. It just seemed extraneous.
As I said, the group had a blast. They had enough bad stuff happen that they felt pretty happy with the relative success that they had, while still reeling a bit at the scope of the conspiracy that was revealed. So I guess my take is that the module does have flaws, but also has a very cool concept. And thanks for starting this thread, as it's replete with good ideas from yourself and others.
