Some of the hulls have special rules like cargo hauler, inherent warship, carrier, etc. Each of these states that the space for that particular obligatory component is already taken into account in the hull description, but that power still has to be provided for by the components. What it doesn't say however is if the SP for the obligatory component(s) is also already taken into account in the ship's cost. For example a Jericho-class Pilgrim Vessel costs 20 SP and has an obligatory Main Cargo Hold that costs 1 SP. Now is the cost for just those two things 21 SP, or is the SP cost also taken into account in the description of the hull and do they cost 20 SP together?
SP for cargo hauler/inherent warship/carrier?
I have always taken it that if the hull is pre equiped with something the SP cost is inlcuded.

Same here. And it pretty much adds up with the hull costs too.
Thanks for the answers. It kind of figures, since power is probably only left out because a hull alone does not have a power rating. It does however have a space and an SP rating, so these two parameters of the component can be taken into account. It's a little bit annoying though that they were careful enough to explicitly state this for the space requirement, and then forgot to state it for the SP requirement.
If anyone knows if there is a line somewhere in one of the books, or in an errata somewhere, please let me know.
