So there's been speculation in my playgroup as to what the next watermark is going to be. Obviously there's an upper limit to the number of points they can put on a shurikan before it becomes hard to distinguish between them. Anyone have any idea what the next watermarks are going to be?

Crossed spears or some other weapon? That'd give them at least two symbols out of that for a semi-consistency, as in two crossed for Block 4, two crossed across a vertical one for Block 5, etc. =D

But I think eventually they should make new water marks down the link adding points on the shurikan every year might eventually look kinda weird..

How about just a number, stating the block the card belongs to. Block 4, number 4, Block 5, number 5, etc. It's stupid but imagine there where 10 Blocks, you would have to remember all block symbols, which could be fun, at some point, but could started to get boring at some time. Maybe put a generic symbol for blocks with the number of the block.

I disagree. I think the set iconography in Magic: the Gathering has always been charming (since they started it, way back when). I think the watermarks in UFS serve a similar purpose. If they started getting more interesting than shuriken, I'd be quite pleased. Who needs "block 4" when you can have "crossed scimitar block" or "battle axe block." (I agree that continued shuriken will get stale fast.)

I personally thing that they should put the kanjis for the set numbers like block 3 having the three dashes and so forth. That would make it easy too.

I want a dive flag so i can show it to my business and make them play UFS .

yes trane, FFG should hire me for the water mark symbols. That would be...epic? Regardless of what they decide, one thing is for certain. As long as we understand which is what and so on, we will be fine.

why not the UFS ressource symbols in alphabetical order?

Air for block 4, All for the 5th and so on?

we already know these symbols and in alphabetical order we can track each block more easily than random shurikens or swords.
