Who has a complete set of Talisman plus expansions in FFG sleeves and a ruler handy?

By talismanisland, in Talisman

Hey there!

Just a quick question to save me from having to sleeve a full set tonight as I have a project in mind...

It will not be necessary to have the entire thing sleeved, perhaps just the original 104 Adventure cards will do.

I need to know how tall the entire Adventure deck will be in FFG sleeves (in centimetres), but can work it out (+/-) from the main game if someone has that handy...

...and a ruler of course!

Thanks!!

I'll do it today Jon, by 11am!

Now you've got my curiosity piqued. I'll be waiting to see what comes of this.

Thanks Elliott. It will also do in inches I have realised!

@JC - It's not so exciting, just another one of those I have an idea to make another card holder projects

After you make the card holders, please show pics. I have all mine in FFG sleeves but don't have a ruler handy. I'd like to make a card holder too and want some good ideas.

Thanks

Ok, I just realized I have a tape measure for working on my basement.

The spell deck is around 2 3/4 inches

All my adventure cards is 9 3/4 inches (on it's side without the weight of the cards compressing the deck. I doubt I could measure it standing up without some kind of support

My Highlands deck is around 3 inches and I am sure the dungeon would be the same.

My tape measure only has inches but google has a great converter.

Good luck

Strange, my yellow american mini sleeved Adventure Cards stood upright in a single pile measure exactly 8" (all expansions including Dungeon & Highland Adventure Cards).

I have the same card sleeves. The difference between ours is because your deck was getting compressed with the weight of all the cards on top of each other. I measured mine while they were resting on the side so none of them were on top of each other.

It's good to know that others sleeve their Talisman game!!! Have you sleeved the characters too? I have my boards mounted in picture frames with glass tops and baize underneath along the wooden edges to prevent table scratches!

I do have my characters sleeved with the help of another who placed a large order. I don't have my boards framed like you do. Do you mind posting a picture of what you have done? How do you have the boards connected?

Hey E., now that's something I would like to see a picture of. Probably takes some considerable storage space, but I'm still curious. Did you use actual glass or plexiglass to reduce risk of breakage?

And yes, I have my character cards sleeved.

Well, my small project is over and I must say that I am rather underenthused with the results!

It has given me a few pointers on what not to do when creating something and I will share those thoughts soon, probably in the Home Brew section, but don't get too excited!
