Multiple evade tests in one round?

By poisson7, in Mansions of Madness

Hi! I just played my first game of Mansions of Madness as the keeper last night, and a question kept occurring.

My investigators kept popping into rooms and either exploring and leaving or attacking and leaving. If they explored the room, they would take an evade test on every monster, but then would NOT take a second evade test when they left. If they attacked, I would just have them take an evade test from the monsters they did NOT attack.

Is there any clarification here? The rules state that you have to take an evade test when you make a movement or non-attack action. Is that -every- movement or non-attack action? I guess I have 2 specific scenarios

1) An investigator enters a room and evades a monster in it to explore. He then leaves the room - does he take a second evade test?

2) An investigator enters a room with two monsters. He attacks one of them and then leaves. Does he take an evade test for either/both of the monsters?

Thank you in advance for any help!

#1: "After
having attempted to evade a monster, the investigator may freely
move and take actions without having to try to evade the same
monster that turn." (p. 11)

#2: If he doesn't kill the monster he attacked, 2 Evades.
