Plea to FFG: Make all Gazeteers available

By Gregorius21778, in Dark Heresy

This is a plea to FFG

Please make all the Gazeteers (or at least the planetary one-sheets) available for download. You already did this with a many of them, but not for any and all (for example not the one from Barsapine from "Black Sepulchre")

We, the GM and players, love the universe of 40k. We really do, it is the reason we pict up your games. And with this love comes the quest for being as "true" to the fluff/background as it is possible. In fact, some of would buy books they normally will not buy just because of a good gazeteer (and the one for Sinophia Magna was GREAT ).

Please help us in creating our games, missions, pc and npc.
Please make all planetary Gazeteers available for download in the support section.

Thank you!

P.S: A lot of us would really be into buying books about a couple of planets. If you ever tire about 68-pages adventures, sell us 6 planets on 68-pages gran_risa.gif

I don't really buy the adventures (stopped after Tattered Fates) but I would totally buy a book or twenty detailing various worlds of the Calixis sector! Yo9u get a lot more use out such a thing and you don't have to worry over much about whether it will mesh with your play style or not -set dressing is much easier to make universal after all ;-)

I agree at 100% A Detailed Malfian subsector would rock!

You got my vote! I have not purchased any of the adventure books, but sourcebooks are hard to resist.

Great idea i support this

Saldre, Malfi itself is detailed in the "Ascension" book.

As for the gazetteers, you've got my vote. The only adventure book I own is Lure of the Expanse (for Rogue Trader) and that has plenty of gazetteer content. There's a big entry for Footfall, plus seven worlds in the Heathen Stars. Since my PC's do a fair bit of adventuring in Calixis, I'd likely vote with my wallet for a Calixis gazetteer.

Cheers,

Hell yes, I've been calling for setting books since the game came out. The Calixis Sector is a great setting, criminally underdeveloped from it's promising beginnings in the DH corebook.

I only buy adventure modules for setting fluff.

I don't expect FFG to listen though on this subject ... they haven't yet. sad.gif

I concur! Sourcebooks detailing planets and free gazeteers would be fantastic.

Completely agree with this. I don't buy adventure books for the plots, but for the setting info...to get a feel for the WH40K setting and the calixis sector.

Making an actual world and setting book, with inspiration for making your own, would actually be a great resource and likely a better buy for a struggling GM then any number of adventure books. It would also have appeal across all three settings I would think.

I'm in. Source books are awsome.

I would certainly buy this one, and possibly in PDF as well as I can see myself wanting to keep it close to hand when writing scenarios.

So when do we get our hands on it ? (he said wishfully ...gui%C3%B1o.gif)

i like the idea i vote for

Dream on chaps, dream on. Setting books don't sell, don't you know ...gui%C3%B1o.gif
