Scenario 3 question

By Tyrant242, in Mansions of Madness

At the bottom of the map there is one set of rooms that are accesible by ladder (leading to a silver key door) and another set that are accessed by vent (leading to the alter) from the shed. now there is not a solid brown line between two of these rooms, and no doors, just a greenish grey line. are these rooms connected or are they seperate and cannot be moved from one to the other? if you can move between the vent and ladder rooms then what happens when some one in the ladder room ( which has a darkness token) wants to use a ranged attack to someone in the vent room. My opinion is that they are not connected. Advice?

Are you talking about Cave 2 and Chasm?

These rooms are adjacent and there is no wall between them. That means that investigators can move from one to the other, and that ranged attacks are not blocked. It's just like the outdoor and hallway tiles which can meet up without having walls between them.

Note that going through Cave 2 is the only way to reach the Chasm in this story. Investigators can't use vents, so if the two rooms were not adjacent, some of the objectives would be impossible.
