Spoilers are over at agotcards.org
Paper Shield is back. A lot of CCG reprints or near-reprints. The box looks awesome and is really gonna shake things up, I think.

Wow thanks for posting this. I hope it is released ASAP so I can test all these new goodies in time for Kubla. My Targ builds going to change quite a bit I think.
Thanks Saturnine for posting this, and Gualdo (et al?) for revealing the spoilers!
This expansion and the GJ re-release cannot come soon enough!
This expansion looks really nice.
I love the new hatchlings and their ability to be duplicates of the big dragons. Dragon decks look like they'll be a lot of fun with Heir to the Throne, QoD Daenerys, hatchlings, Dance with Dragons event and new locations. There's more save cards like Unburnt and recur with Maegi's Promise in case they do get killed.
I plan to try a Shadows / Dragons deck with a Dothraki splash that uses Heir to the Throne and City of Lies. Siege of Riverrun and Focused Offense will probably be in there too.
Looks like Dothraki decks got a bit fleshed out with Killer of the Wounded and Horseback Archers.
Advisor to the Crown looks like it'll be a nice addition to Martell Maester decks. I like the new 2 influence location, makes stuff like Red Vengeance a lot easier to pull off without Knights of the Hollow Hill.
Wow I really really hate the Initiate of the Citidel, i usually play a lot fo attachments and this card makes me a sad panda
Lots of great stuff in there, but I'm not a fan of favorable ground. Say goodbye to any location over cost 2- you're never going to have a reason to play them again.
is it too much to ask for a Crown of Molten Gold attachment?>

Haha that would be great! I love the idea and it would be a great Nedly "burn" card.
Hmmmmmmm
mmmmmmmhmhmhhhhh
looks like location based control just died.
eh... Fleeing to the Wall was already running around, and there was still a lot of location control out there. It'll be interesting to see what Favorable Ground brings to the game. It's kind of like a Westeros Bleeds for locations, but I don't see Westeros Bleeds too often.
Its different than the targeted location removal (like Price of War) or Fleeing to the Wall because those didn't completely remove your location base. Makes me drastically change a few decks around.
Well, it definitely hoses non-income locations. Should be interesting to see how the environment deals with it. Wonder if there is a way for Lannister to leverage this. A lot of gold, awesome character abilities, a handful of characters and events, toss one of these out there then Wildfire, or even Valar if you have the dupes to protect your key characters.

I don't think many people are going to play it. And I'll counter with Aegon's Hill. Its worth 3 gold for even one use, same with Bear Island. (Also both are unique so one could save them).
I agree... don't know if favorable ground will be so played... for sure Paper Shield makes an impact. The same for Agendas (we will see if Alliance create weird situations)... Anyway I like also "new spending"... only because I can replay cat of the canals with a "for sure" northen steel in hand... I always loved these 2 cards :-)
They go to the discard not the dead pile as location. Being unique lets you dupe them and prevents multiples in play at the same time.
The Plots rock! Wanna shut down Martell events for a round? It's time for your Greyjoy opponent to play Valar and use his Iron Mines? Wanna slow Fat Bob and his massive Power Grab? Play Burning Bridges and get 5 gold!
Shade of the Evening is a great card for Targ. Glad to see Pyat Pree back. Khal Drogo is way better since the Dothraki are better. I've always like Myrish Villa (especially pre-Plot followed by Rule by Decree).
Muster the Realm is another awesome 5-Gold Plot. Everyone used to play the Fury Plots first-turn for the 5-gold? Well, now you can play this first turn and Loyalty Money Can Buy (at 4-gold instead of the old 3-gold in the CCG era) and you can possible shut down MILITARY for two turns.
Ambush with the Dragons is very cool. Love the Maesters. Good to see these Neutral ones back.
I still think The Laughing Storm with Threat From the East is stupid! The Laughing Storm is a ridiculous card. Wanna bet that 75% of Regional decks plan Baratheon?

I don't get it about events. And remember that Burning Bridges stops only triggered abilities.
Glad to see Laughing Storm will distract people from the threat from the east.

So you mean plan bara control?
Given that a rush deck must win with pretty much what they setup and drew on turn 1. Whatever handful of cards gets discarded is moot. TLS has almost no use in that sort of deck. I suppose it protects against confession, but a good bara deck has so many layers of redundancy, the slot is better used for a character with renown or another copy of Val.
And Bara Control? Aren't they going to have enough intrigue icons to protect themselves.
And yeah its got some broken combos that'll make a shagga player wet himself... but I'm not sure if they will matter, any control deck worth its salt will be able to rebuild any cards discarded from tricks like Rule by Decree + TLS, etc. And Bara's card draw is not strong enough to compete in the same game as Lannister or Martell. (And Targ will just return those cards to its hand or play anyhow).
I think you should be more concerned with Dragon Fear.

How dare you, sir! You stir the pot like none other!

Actually I expect Targ to be the most heavily represented House overall. If I remember correcctly, Bara was the most heavily represented house at the Days of Ice and Fire event last Fall after the release of the Bara box. I expect the same with Targ. Most casual players will want to play with all the "new and shiny baubles" for Regional season. Your seasoned veterans will play with other houses, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Targ at over 50% of the field in many places. Most people who love the series have a major hard on for dragons and the temptation to play a Targ dragon deck will be too much to resist.

wanna bet that those decks still lose 75% (or more) of the time to stark, martell, targ, or lanni?

If you honestly and truthfully believe that Targ has a build now that can beat Bara 75% of the time please send me a sample decklist and I would love to test it out with Kubla coming up since all my testing in the past few weeks prior to QoD being spoiled showed my Bara deck (with TLS) beating every single one of my Targ builds without losing once.

Are you using Jorah Mormont?

Ya he's in all my Targ builds
