Gutted in Glasgow

By Metropolis Games, in Dust Tactics

I left my copy of Dust Tactics on the train this morning and it is lost. llorando.gif

I lost all the boards, tiles and terrain and all the game cards for the Base Set, Operation Cyclone, Panzer walker, MCW, Laser grenadiers, Command squads, BBQ squad, Recon Rangers and Gunners.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of replacement cards for Base set & Cyclone troops and heroes so that I can at least play with the units that I have?

My FLGS has offered me a discount on a new base set, which is very generous of them.

Dude that so totally sucks, hopefully someone nice picked it up and turned it in to the lost and found there.

Hey,

I have extra cards I would be willing to give . . . I dont know if I have all the ones you need. But I don't need them and would be willing to mail them to you.

Let me know.

Man - that would be amazing. Thanks for all the helpful advice guys. I've been to lost and found and they don't have it...

The units I didn't lose but lost the cards for are:

Joe

Sigrid

Rosie

Manfred

BBQ squad

Recon Rangers

Gunners

The Boss

Laser Grenadiers x2

Recon Grenadiers

Battle Grenadiers

Commandotrupp

I'm still going to the demo in Glasgow today and hopefully get a few games in (using Tom's set!)

Hey man that sucks. Like some one said earlier I have some of the cards on my blog under the card section. Also the correct stats and stuff are on the army builder program file I developed. if you have a PC just download it and install the file and all the stats for the cards are on there. Its not replacement cards but itll due for now. Also if you dont buy it you can pop only 3 units per army, so just make 3 units print it out make 3 more unit print it out until you have them all.

Got most of the cards I need now - split a box with a guy in the shop.

I still need cards for:

Rosie

Manfred

Laser Grenadiers

Commandotrupp

The Boss

Ronny, I reckon you should contact FFG customer services mate. They may be willing to sell you the cards?

Thanks for your help at the Demo yesterday; doubly so considering how down you must have been!

Tom

Email me your address and Ill send what I can.

Respond to my friend's request and I can PM you.

I packed up and sent out replacement cards for those - he should be good now. *(he did contact me, but hasn't replied since, I do get caught in many people's spam filters, quite possible he's not seen my reply).

Thanks for playing,

(As an aside, I once had an address book, with all my travel info and contacts in it... and my home address.... mailed to me in the US from a kind person in the UK who found it on the airport shuttle. It would have been super tough to track down all that info, of relatives I talk to rarely, old school friends, etc ever again. Not hard to imagine leaving stuff on public transport!)

Hello Thaad,

Got your mail today so I am now back up to speed with Dust Tactics. This is an awesome response from FFG and just goes to show why we stick with the company. What a fantastic service to their players. thanks a lot.

Interestingly, as I bought a replacement copy of Operation Cyclone, I now have spare Rosie and Manfred.

see now i'm just not that nice . sure i would have mailed you the book , but only after haveing gone through it and called a bunch of people in it , especially anyone mentioned as a relative , pretended i was you , and invited them to come visit for a week on various random dates over the next years time . for those that truely fall for it , i could chat them up for a while , try to get them to tell me their most boaring interests , and promise to take them to see similar sites like doll or knitting museums

sure not every one would have fallen for it , but i have unlimited free longdistance on my cell , so i could call every one in the book till i had atleast 10 confirmed visits .

now sure you might figure out what happened after the first couple visits , and you would probably call people in your book to cancel their visits , but would you really be so cruel as to tell uncle jhonny that you wont be spending all day with him at an exibit on beltbuckles of the 1930's ?

then i might send it postage due .

oh , and knowing your contact details , i might also call up a couple of times over the next year to pizza places in your town to order some hanious form of pizza like say pinapple , EXTRA pinapple anchovy , EXTRA anchovy and bacon ............................... which might be the one thing bacon cant improve .
